Garments
Below you will find several traditional Zuni garments and pieces of clothing that have been created using Zuni designs and storytelling.
A white kilt worn with green, red, and black designs symbolizing rain, clouds, and life.
Dakun Ikwinne
A white belt adorned with red, green, blue, and white patterns. These patterns are sewn into the belt with yarn, decorating two sides of the belt.
Molimon Ikwinne
A white belt with tassels hanging on each end of the belt. This belt is commonly worn by men/boys, especially when dancing.
Miha
A white cape embroidered with designs that resemble moisture and germination.
Yadonanne
A black manta worn by women that is designed with red and green lines on black cloth.
E'ninne
A sash belt, traditionally woven in red, green, black, and white, that is used by both men and women.
E'nin Ts'ana
A small sash belt is made the same way as an e’ninne but on a smaller scale. An e’nin tsana is used as a mens leg tie, a baby’s cradle board tie, a hair tie and many other uses as well
Dowa Mokwa:we
White moccasins wrapped in leather. These are worn by women/girls.
